Sakura Kinomoto is the title character from Card Captor Sakura. She is charged with being the new cardcaptor that will recover all the Clow Cards (except Windy) she has set free on accident when she opened the Book of Clow. All through the show she is given costume after costume by her close friend Tomoyo Daidouji, who has an obvious obsession for her. Though Sakura seems to not share the same infatuation, she still finds herself playing along with the costume play as she faces the many Clow Cards she captures.
Beyond the anime
Obviously, since she is the main character of the anime mentioned above, she is ever popular and drawn quite frequently by many artists that draw doujins, clean art and lolikon alike. she has appeared in movies, games, on various forms of merchandise and much more. A popular pairing for Sakura is Tomoyo. It is very common to see them in intimate situations as is the case with most "best friend" couples.
